Account requires an assignment to a CO object

Hi,

Somehow I managed to post a document without the cost element object. Later I have edited the cost element in the GL Account and post some new documents. Now I am trying to reverse the old document which is not having the cost element, but the error is coming as below:

Account 12390 requires an assignment to a CO object

Message no. KI235

Diagnosis

You have not defined a CO account assignment for an account that is relevant to cost accounting.

System Response

Account 12390 is defined as a cost element.

This means that you must always specify a CO account assignment.

Now I had already managed CO Object for the GL Account.

Please suggest.

HI,

System will not allow you reverse the document....please do not play tricks with the objects....enter the common or any cost center you want in the cost element using transaction KA02....after reversing documents ..then make necessary settings which is likely to be a long lasting one..
