Hyperlink Back functionality

Hi Friends,

While creating Hyperlink from one Web Intelligence report to another detailed report, if the option 'Open in Current Window is selected', the new report opens up in the same window, however, there is no link similar to the back button that takes you back to the 1st report.

Eg: Report_1 has the fields Country and Revenue. Report 2 contains all the information related to Country>City> Revenue.

1. In Report_1, a hyperlink to Report_2 is added on the Country column that passes the country as a prompt to Report_2. Also, we set the open document in 'Current window option'.

2. When the user opens up Report_1 in the View mode, and clicks on any of the countries listed, the hyperlink navigates to Report_2, opening it up in the same window, which is the desired functionality.

3. The User wants to go back to the previous report(Report_1) but sees no link/Back or button as part of the Infoview that allows this backward-navigation from Report_2 to Report_1 as part of the Infoview functionality itself.

Is there anyway, we can achieve this by some setting in Infoview?

Could you please any one guide me?

Thanks & Regards,

Ramnaresh.P.

You can create a link in the detail report to go back to the summary report.

Just add a blank cell and create a link to the summary report.

="<a href=http://server:port/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?iDocID=docid_of_summary_report>Back</a>"

From my experience just closing the child document will automatically reopen the parent document.

However, the parent document will be opened in the state it was last saved. If you have multiple tabs/reports in your parent document, make sure your openDoc "back" link points to a specific report in the document.

WebI does not provide you this option to click on go back to previous page.

For this you will add a cell and then use HTML code to go back to previous report or your required report.
