PO number range

Dear All,

I have changed the existing number range (nuber interval same reseted as 0)for PO, when I create a new PO it gives me the new number with starting of given interval but giving a message

"Express document "Update was terminated" received from author"

And also while displaying the same it display the old PO.

Hi,

I am afraid that the PO will not have "fiscal year" concept, you cannot find the field

year in PO table EKKO. EKKO has only primary key EBELN, once it's got duplicated,

the dump will occur.

Check the number ranges which you have assigned newly for PO. May be same number series ahs been assigned to some other document.

Thanking for your reply,

The problem is: -

(1) The previous number interval was like 10000000 to 19999999 for old financial year

(2) My client wants the number interval would be same as 10000000 to 19999999 but it should give a new PO number starting with 10000000 for current FY, for this i have reseted current number as 0.

Hi Rajeev,

You cannot give the same number range for two years as you told above. System will not accept, You have to give the seperate number range or you can continue same number number but your will not get starting number number 0.
