Maintaining custom application tables in Portal database

Hi,

We have one database table, which we are maintaining for custom application. We have maintained seperate databse for this table. Now we are planning to maintain this table in Portal database instead of in new database.

Is there any problem if we maintain our custom database tables in Portal database?
