Analytical app, Design Studio - Could not instantiate data source "DS_1" for query

Hi

I'm trying to open the Fiori reporting app "Cost Centers - Plan/Actual", but get below error.

I have configured S/4HANA Analytics as per SAP note 2289865.

System has an embedded gateway (no frontend system) and I get the same issue through the web dispatcher and on the backend system. SAP note 2664717 don't seem to apply, as the Gateway is Embedded.

Kindly advise. Errors in Gateway log, not sure if it is related. Odata service C_ACTUALCASHFLOWANALYTICS_CDS is activated.

Hi Willem,

You should check if your BI content for simple finance is active. (not activated by default)

We had the same issue at a customer, after activating the BI content the apps work fine.

In customizing:

Switch business Category to 03 (Business Functions) and check the status for /ERP/SFIN_PLANNING (don't mind the red flag in the screenshot, we were not able to activate this in one time and had to start the process several times to get it fully activated):

Be aware this needs to be done in the development system and takes a long time.

Also I would look at SAP Note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/0002563303 and try the RSOR steps on your query just to check

Thank you, I use alias LOCAL and don't see a fix in SAP note 2356997. I tested the INA URL which open successfully.

As per SAP note 2563303, I'm not sure how to find query Bex Query /ERP/SFIN_M01_Q2001 in RSOR
