In config,

QM>Quality Notifications>Notification Creation>Notification Content>Define Catalog profile. In the next screen select "Define Catalog Profile"

You add the codes into the catalog profile. Then the catalog profile to the notification type.

QM>Quality Notifications>Notification Creation>Notification Content>Catalogs and Catalog Profiles for Notification Type

Dear Kimberly,

Following is the solution for your querry :

In QM01 Item tab there are two code groups need to be maintained:

1) 1st Code group for defect location : Go to QS41 >> Select catalog 'E' that is for defect location >> go and maintain the code group for location. If you maintain it here you will see it in QM01.

2) 2nd Code group for defect type : Go to QS41 >> Select catalog '9' that is for defect types >> go and maintain the code group for defect types. If you maintain it here you will see it in QM01.

Please check this and revert if any doubts.

Best Regards,

I managed to get my code group n but how can I add the items that go under this new code.....????

Example

ZXXXXX - Purchasing PAS Codes

I001 - Incorrect Pack Slip

I002 - Material Number not listed

Again this is for the Item Tab of QM01 and not the header Subject coding (initial screen)

QS41 is the t-code where you can create/ assign new code to code group.

After creating code group you can go to following path of SPRO where you can map code group to catalog profile

SPRO --> QM --> Quality notification --> Notification content --> Define catalog profile

After that you need to marry this catalog profile to QN @ SPRO --> QM --> quality notification --> Notification content --> Catalogs and Catalog Profiles for Notification Type

Once you do this then you would be able to see your code @ QM01.

Thanks for the reply...but I am only needing to add the defect type for the code group....the code group is added...I just can not find where to add the defect types the one in the items tab in QM01 not the header...

I can see another code group that was previously added (not by me) and its defect type and the places I have been told to go I already been there and I do nto see the defect types listed that were previously added so I know it cant be there....If it helps when I hit the F1 key it says it is problem or damage code table /field VIQMFE/FECOD

...please help!!!
