Sending the task details to other Workflow Recipients

Hi

I have a scenario in my Leave Request application.

If the number of days of leave request is less than 5 days it selects the particular manager P ID (trail account ID 1) from BRF else it selects the particular manager P ID (trail account ID 2).

P ID 1 notifications appear to My Inbox, since Workflow is deployed into my account.

My question is how do I notify to P ID 2, if leave request days are more than 5.

In user task -> recipients I've this P ID 2 as recipient, still it will not appear in that inbox.

Thanks and Regards

Hello Shree Krishna,

This question is more relevant to user management schemes you have in you cloud environment. First of all, trial is not meant for such use cases. For this you need to have a factory account where you need to have defined users (which could be SAP cloud platform members or users configured via IAS). Then you can add these users as recipients of your workflow user-task based on your decision flow in workflow.

Hope this helps,
Archana

Hey Archana,

I just wanted to ask if you need any specific permissions/roles assigned to you so that you're able to add users as recipients? Or do you simply just need their IDP number?

Many Thanks

Hello Uveshin,

All the recipients must have WorkflowParticipant role to be able to see the tasks in their Inbox. If you are connected to the IDP, then you must just mention the email/UserID/LoginName (depending upon your IDP setup with cloud platform). These users must have the role defined above. While modelling there are no validation whether the user exists or not - it is only when you run the workflow will the task appear in the right Inbox (only if you have mentioned the right user info). However there are no additional roles needed for assigning such users as recipients to user task.
