Data Source 0FI_GL_14 for BCS

Former Member

Hi,

I'm currently working on a BCS project, the client requested line item data(or maybe some customized fields) for consolidation, so we planned to use 0FI_GL_14 to serve this purpose.

However, item level data is not suitable for consolidation, we need the balance / cumulative balance for BCS. Is it the case? Does anyone have experience in solving this kind of problem?

Hi All,

I would like to know what configurations settings are to be configured in R/3 for the smooth flow of data from R/3 to SEM BCS Infocubes.

In specific, how to activate the flow of data into GLPCT and GLPCA tables.

Please explain.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Victoria.

Hi ,

To be specific, if I load data from 0FI_GL_14 into the staging cube, is it possible to use data stream to generate period opening and balance for BCS use from this source?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Timon.tu

You should use Datasource 0SEM_BCS_10

It is specially designed for consolidation.

As far as I know there are periodic and cumulative amount fields.

Hope it helps

HI,

Currently I am also using the same data source.

Not able to understand your question properly, if it is "Can we use data source 0FI_GL_14, then answer is yes.

Let me know if you have any particulat issues in this.

Cheers,

Ruchard.

As far as I know, the source database must have stored periodic activity and/or balances.

However, I have heard of a case where the source was BSEG table, but there was probably a lot of transformations occurring to get the balances and/or activity.
