Hello Nagarjun,

I had a different opinion that sourabh.i checked more and sourabh is correct.

A client copy only copies Customizing and where necessary application data. Repository (for example, programs and table definitions) and other cross-client data are not copied and must reach the system via the corresponding transport routes.

The data copied depends on the profile you selected for the copy What profile did you use ? The tables to be copied will depend on this.

This SAPnote will be very helpfull.

Hello Nagarjun,

You can ask your programmers to save their customized programs and once client copy is over then you change these programs again.

Hi Nagarjun,

Client copy won't affect the ABAP codes that exist in your development system; client copy only copies the contents of a client. ABAP source codes, data dictionaries etc reside in repository which can't get copied via client copy.

For repository to get copied as well we use System copy.
