sap posting periods

present period is 08 but in omsy i have entered next period that is 09. so it is not closing the periods and posting is not applying over there.Below is the error displayed by sap

Incorrect period in control rec. of CoCd IDCO; no conversion The current period (month/year) of the control record is 09 2018

That means you already open period 09!
