Finding corresponding R/3 fields and tables to Info Objects

Former Member

Hello all,

I wanted to know if I have an Info Object/Data Source, can I find out what are the fields and tables in R/3 that correspond to that Info Object/ fields in the data source.

I tried searching help.sap.com but that wasn't of much help. I was able to find some corresponding fields but not tables.

Thanks for the help.

Hi there,

This one is easy, it is extracted from the table S001.

I also found this, but you probably had it already:

Thanks that didn't take too long

So is it a general rule that the last 4 character of data source = table name?

Just asking because I have to do this for many other data sources.

Thanks

Hi there,

No that's not the general rule.

It just happens I knew that datasource, and it is based on the old LIS. For the old LIS system, yes, the last 4 digits are the statistical table which the datasource is based.

You should also look and (search in SDN) for the old LIS datasources (transaction LBW0).
