Change to the account fact sheet, is this possible?.

At present we can produce/view an account fact sheet and a PDF account fact sheet.

Account management->Accounts Enter account and then choose More->Fact Sheet..

Is there any control other what data is displayed here, and, can we add data from a third party?.

Also, we may be looking at this information via a blackberry mobile and wondered if we can easily set up a fact sheet specifically from the Blackberry screen. Has anyone done such a thing?.

We're using CRM 7.00 with the standard best practice install for sales, services, marketing.

Regards

Hi Jason,

The fact sheet provides data from SAP CRM, SAP ECC and SAP NetWeaver BI and you can consult the assignment blocks available in customizing: IMG: CRM > UI Framework > UI Framework Definition > Maintain Fact Sheet

You can add data from third party systems using SAP NetWeaver BI or loading this data in customer-specific fields in SAP CRM.

The online factsheet can be changed using the transaction EEWB, component "BSP_DLC_FS" and view "factsheet"

To customize the PDF version, consult SAP Note 1040229.

Many thanks Heber.

Your help is much appreciated.

I assume that if we did not have BI, because Cognos was established way before, that we would be in trouble if we wanted to add third party data. Other than adding fields into CRM that is.

Just because I'm curious, lets say that I added a number of new fields into CRM (extending some table), how would we then add these fields into the assignment blocks, or would that be done automatically with the assignment blocks pointing to table data.

As you can tell I know very little of assignment blocks.

Many thanks Heber, you're a star.

It would look as though I can avoid using EEWB for some things and use the App enhancement tool instead.

Heber,

Thanks for those details. I'm a little lost in EEWB I must admit. I have just entered it, created a project and then attempted to create an extension. However, it asks me for information, being the Name, description, EEW busines object and Extension type. I'm pretty sure the EEW business object should be BUPA as I'm addding new fields to the Account screen, and I'm sure the extension type should be ADD_NEW_FIELDS, but in this case what do the name and description refer to?. Are these the field name details, and if so can just enter any field. For example, I'm entering:

Name: ZGEOGREGION

Desc: Geographic region (different from existing region field)

EEW bus oject: BUPA

Extension type: ADD_NEW_FIELDS

However, this is not accepted when attempt to enter this information, saying 'No request was sent' each time.

Can you be of any help?.

I'm simply attempting to add a couple of new fields into the communication/address assignment block of the Account (BP) screen. It should be easy, but I'm really finding it hard.

With regards

Jason

Hello Jason,

The reason you are getting the message is because no transport requests were maintained for the project. Right-click the project and choose "Transports" to remedy the situation.

Cheers,

Martin

So, it looks as though the online factsheet is configurable although the PDF version is not. The Online factsheet sources from CRM, ECC and BI whereas the PDF fachsheet can only source from CRM and ECC.

However, although I can configure what assignment blocks are used for the online fact sheet it does not look like I can include third party information, or even get this info loaded in ECC and access as the assignment blocks look pre-assigned in terms of where they source their data.

The online help mentions that the printed factsheet can be changed and mentioned OSS note 1040229, although I don't think this relates to the PDF version.

I guess my ultimate am would be to add new assignemnt blocks which link to ECC data which holds thirdy party information, if that's possible. Has anyone done anything like this before, or maybe just added their own fact sheet?.
