Attatchment of any type of file in ADOBE Interactive Online or Offline Form

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement where in ..any kind of file can be attatched in the Form. The attached file should be attatched in Services for objects for the document created thru the adobe interactive form.

I am able to do this for .TXT/.DOC/.XLS,

This is done in WebdynproABAP with javascript in ADOBE form ..

However, Unable to pass the filename with the complete path(Presentation Server) or filecontent if its a .PDF/BMP or other file types attatched in the form to R/3.

Please help!!.

Pardon me, still don´t understand. Do you want the user to attach a file to your WD form or you want to "publish" a file from the backend through your Adobe form as an attachment? Or both? How exactly do you expect that to work? I have no experience with attachments in WD forms and maybe will be useful to find ow it works.

Sorry Otto for delayed reply,

1. I have a ADOBE online Interactive form.

2. In the form a file can be attached of any type.

3. The form creates a Purchase Requisition.

4. and the attachment goes as Services for Objects attachment to the PR document created.

5. This is done in ABAP web dynpro.

I am able to create the PR using this Adobe online interactive Form.

I am able to attach in Services for Objects for the document(PR) created.(.TXT/.DOC/.RTF.XLS...etc)

However unable to create attachment for .JPG/.BMP/.PDF...etc...

Please help.

Can you please share you how do do this for the filetypes which work for you? That could help us to find any weak points in the process/ solution of yours..

Thank Otto for the response,

I am placing the content of the attached file in an invisible text field and passing the content in string format to sap.

In my webdynpro i have converted the string to Xstring and attached it to the document.

But as the picture files or other files which cannot be converted to string format have to be resolved.

Please help me either to get the complete path of the attached file to pass to R/3.

OR to extract the content of any kind of file attatched and send to R/3.
