Partner Function

Hi All,

While posting an I doc following error message was displayed,

Partner profile inbound not available.

After analysis it was found that the partner function which was required for partner type LF (vendor) is LF. However we had maintained partner function as VN for the above mentioned partner type.

The solution for this is to change the partner function from VN to LF for partner type LI - vendor. Can anyone tell me what can be the adverse impact on other I docs for this partner function being changed.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Hi,

I believe you are making the change in WE20 which is partner profiles because that's what your error message seems to be referring to. If that is the case, then there won't be any adverse impact whatsoever. Likewise any change from VN to LF in WE20 under "Inbound parmts" for Partner Role would not create any problem.

I hope however that, you are not making the change in XK02 under partner functions because if you do make the changes there, your IDOC issue will still not be resolved.

Elias

HI,

the issue is that for partner function LF, we have maintained language conversion as VN. but in the IDOC, LF has been mentioned. But it does not find LF, since in WE20 in Inbound Parameters, LF is automatically converted to VN. Hence there is an error.

Thanks,

Aman

Please list the transaction codes you are using and the settings you've made in each. Just to add, also make sure you are using the correct words or terms when posting your question because there is nothing like partner function in WE20. We have partner type and partner role.

Thanks,

Elias
