Paid Breaks in DWS

Hi,

I would like to how to configure the below for Daily Work Schedule?

planned hours 8,5hours

breaks - 1,00 (paid break)

If I consider, planned time - 0800am to 16:00hours , then it is 8,5hours (is it inlcuding break?)

Then, In CATS, when technicians record their time, they will see 8,5hours as their planned hours which is against their contract. As per their contract it is 7,5hrs is working hours every day + paid breaks.

In this case, how do I configure DWS?

Thanks for your inputs.

Regards,

Geetika

Hi Umesh,

When I create the DWS as you mentioned below:

planned hours 8,5hours

breaks - 1,00 (paid break)

planned time will be - 0800am to 16:30hours

In CATS, planned hours are displayed as 8,5hrs which is against the contractual agreements of staff. They have 7,5hrs of contract everyday. What if , I configure as below:

Planned hours - 7,5hrs

Planned time : 08:00am to 15:30hrs

breaks -1,00hr (paid break)

I believe, planned hours should always be without breaks, right?

Geetika,

Breaks are of two types paid and unpaid..& over the minight and normal ones...

Paid breaks include the total working hours...non paid breaks do not...you try out the various combinations in the screen..if this answer does not meet your requirements...I am sure you will get it very soon..

Hi Umesh,

NO. Their actual working hours are 7,5hours + break.

Then you can follow this.

planned hours 8,5hours

breaks - 1,00 (paid break)

planned time will be - 0800am to 16:30hours

HI,

As per their contract it is 7,5hrs is working hours every day + paid breaks. is this mean that 6.5 hours working and 1 hours paid break?

Break Schedule You Can define as either paid or Unpaid.

If you want the 7.5 Hours working and 1 extra Hours paid break then

planned hours 8,5hours

breaks - 1,00 (paid break)

planned time will be - 0800am to 16:30hours

Now they will be abale to se ethe planned hours as 8.5HOurs which is including break.

If you want that they should see the 7.5 hours as working then

planned hours 7,5hours

breaks - 1,00 (un-paid break)

planned time will be - 0800am to 16:30hours

regards,

Umesh
