Editing JCO's in the portal, problem

Hello everyone. I've set up some JCO's in the portal, under Content Administration --> Web Dynpro --> Create JCO Destination.

Under "Maintain JCO Destinations," I am able to succesfully TEST and PING my JCOs.

However, when I try to EDIT or PREVIEW them, I recieve the following error:

The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

   java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
 com/sap/tc/webdynpro/services/sal/sl/api/IWDJCOClientConnection.isLanguageRetrievedFromUserSession()Z 

We are using Netweaver 7.01.

Any ideas?

Hi Adam,

This might comes due the memory problem in the server. Check from detabase sapce perspective and try restart your server and try again.

Also check the SLD information in SLD URl and SLD data Supplier in the visual administator.

Arun, I have restarted the server and also successfully triggered SLD data transfer (in the SLD Data Supplier in Visual Admin). It is still giving the error.

It is surprisingly happening on every portal on every system we have.

Hi Adam,

Could you please let us know your portal version/SP level..I think it might problem in the SP level.

Alternatively try to search the SAP notes.

Hi Adam,

7.01 SP15? SP08 is the latest patch available for 7.01 release. In any case, ensure your portal is patched to the latest SP. It might solve your problem.
