wrong dafault Layout Template displayed by B1

Hi Experts,

I am having difficulty seting up my desired default Layout Template for Profit and Loss Statement. I go to Print Layout Designer and Choose Document Type and select the Document Type I want such as BPL1, BPL4, BGT5 and so on. In the Layout Template list I select one template and set it as default and try to preview the report. To my surprise, the layout of the report always goes back to a Document Type of - Profit and Loss Statement Comparison. It always uses the said Document Type - Profit and Loss Statement Comparison. Is there a way to enable the usage of other Document Types in the Layout Designer. I hope other Document Types are usable since they are dispalyed in the selection criteria.

Hi,

Some of the PLDs are hard coded by system. I believe P&L Statement is one of them. You don't have option to assign other as default.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. Is there a work around ? I just want to include the segment name that I selected in the report criteria to be included in the P & L Report. The default template - P & L Comparison does not include it. Can Business Objects help here ?

Crystal Report would definitely do the job. You may need some times to create the desired report.

Allan,

you should be able to set your report as the default. Make sure you choose update in all instances - when you choose all users, current user etc, and again on exiting the form.

Thanks Julie, I've already done it but to no avail. Can we consider this as a system bug? Is there a patch for this hard coded by the sytem?
