Hi Gurus,
I have been trying to do Mass assignment of Material in Inspection Plan through LSMW but it seems not working.
I have done recording but when Im trying to execute the batch input, I only see one material become assign to inspection plan instead of 4.
Can someone share his thoughts on how to do this?
Thanks,
Raymond
actually in material assignment of the inspection plan as per my experience only 11 or 12 can be assigned that to manually copy paste in formate "Gr cntr ,plant ,material"
In this case as per my knowledge & exp better to use BDC in above format & Also make sure that you use the screen copying form SHDB.this will help you to scroll next entry

Hi Sujit,
How is the process of doing recording on the material assigment tab in inspection plan? do i suppose to enter values in each line item?
I am suppose to upload hundreds of material in an inspection plan. I have read some documents and it says that LSMW is a possible way but during material assignment Tab I'm quite lost.
Thanks for the inputs.
Raymond
Use the page down key during your LSMW recording to get to the bottom of the list to enter a new material assignment. You need enough "page down"'s to know you are always at the bottom of the list. So if you expect to assign 200 materials in a plan, and there is 11 on a screen do 20 page downs first. Then enter the values, save, exi the plan. Repeat for each material to be added.
Hello Raymond,
Well, I suggest to go in for LSMW by recording method. I hope you already have group and group counters with you. No need to record the page down options in this LSMW. Run LSMW for QP02 transaction. While recording this LSMW enter only one record. (Assign only one material even through you have several to assign). Your template would be in this sequence Group, group counter, material, plant
If you donu2019t have group numbers and group counters with you, it is advisable to create them first and then assign the materials.
