Hello,

i am struggling with this error since days. I googeld alot and also used the search function here but none of them helped me or i didn't understand it. I kind of need a step by step help detailed help. Hope I find someone here with a lot of patience 🙂 And I want to apologize in advance if any of my sentence sounds stupid or if i didnt use the correct terms to describe something.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit in a Virtual Machine. there I installed MiniSAP (SAP NetWeaver 702e). On this MiniSAP i am trying to import my transports which i export from another SAP System from my course. I am doing a SAP Course to get a certification. The exported files are R911198.ZME which i copied into my C:\usr\sap\trans\data folder and K911198.ZME which I copied into myC:\usr\sap\trans\cofiles folder. Btw. do i need to change the end of file ZME into SID? I did it also and copied it there too. so i have two endings. one with ZME and one with SID.

There is 3 ways to log into this Mini SAP system. BCUSER, DDCI and SAP*. I use DDCI adn client 000. They told me that i get the most permission with that one.Is that true?

Now when i go into my transaction code STMS then i click on Import Overview. There I have a Queue NSP and under Description its written NSP_Domain. If I click there double, i get an error message as you can see in this picture below. I do not know how to solve that. Any advice and help? I am pretty sure I did something wrong somewhere. Would really appreciate any help. Would also appreciate help as if it is for dummies 🙂

Thank you for reading this and thank you in advance.

Not related to your question, but any reason why you installed 7.02, a 10 years old system? Why not 7.52 Developer Edition, released in 2018?

Hi Schuan,

First off, I adjusted the tags on your question to narrow down the focus, since this is about the Transport system, which falls under the Software Logistics umbrella. I added a handful of other related tags where people who know this stuff tend to hang out.

I can't speak directly to how a MiniSAP system works, but on the assumption it works like any other SAP ABAP system with Basis release 7.02, I can go from there.

First off, you should probably leave client 000 alone and import your transports into client 001 (assuming they're client-dependent, aka customizing transports; if they're workbench transports then it doesn't matter). Most new SAP systems today come with a client 001 ready to go as a pre-existing copy of 000. This way you keep 000 "golden" as a template for everything else, and only screw up... er, sorry, modify client 001, aka your "working client."

If MiniSAP doesn't come with a client 001 already, then you should create one. Login to 000 as DDIC and use transaction SCC4 to create a new empty client. Then login to the new client with user SAP* (default password will probably be PASS, I think), and use transaction SCCL to copy client 000 into it using profile SAP_ALL. This copy will probably take several hours, so schedule it as a background job and let it run.

When it's done, log back in to client 001 as either SAP* or DDIC (no longer with default password of PASS, because the copy will have overwritten the user), and create a new user for yourself as a copy of DDIC. Use SU01, select DDIC, and copy to a user of your choice (i.e., you). Then logout and login as this new user and use that for the rest of the work.

You did the right thing in copying the 'K' file to \cofiles and the 'R' file to \data. Do not change the extension (.zme). That indicates the SID (System ID) of the original system those files were exported from, so it must have been system ZME.

However, the RFC error indicates to me that STMS is not yet fully configured in your system. You probably need to do this as DDIC in client 000, and then afterwards do any actual imports as yourself in client 001.

Full details on configuring TMS, or the Transport Management System, are in the online help at https://help.sap.com/viewer/ff51d0d96c5510148efd9ebcce068974/7.02.21/en-US/44b4a09a7acc11d1899e0000e....
