Hi C4C Experts,

Is there a way to mass remove users from a business role. I did try data workbench with the UPDATE operation but it did not work as expected.

Any hints or help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Siraj

Hello Siraj,

you can remove a specific business role in the business user screen. You have to mark all necessary users in the list and use the action 'deassign business role':

I am not sure, if thats what you are looking for.

Let me know, if you have any additional questions.

Hi Stefanie,

Thanks a lot for the information. This would surely help, but I do have the list of users for whom one of the business role should be removed and these users do not have anything in common and its difficult to filter these users at once and de-assign the business role.

This really helps and I was checking is there a way using DWB or Mass Maintenance functionality to do the same.

Thanks,

Siraj

Hey Siraj,

you can also try the DWB update function and include a new column called 'To Be Deleted'. If export the business role assignment and set the value of 'to Be Deleted' to 'true', the business role should be deleted as well. You can check at least. I have never done it with the business role assignment but in other update situations that works.

But why dont you have a list of the users to delete the business roles from? If you want to update the business role via DWB you need also a list of those users.

Hi Stefanie,

I do have the list of the business users for whom the business roles should be removed.

I followed your proposal of using the Deassign Business Role action and it worked as expected, thank a lot for your timely support.

Thanks,
