SAP Ecc6 Vmare installation on Hp-Ux

Hi,

We are in the process of implement the Datacenter for the production environment.

1.We need your suggession which method we can go for datacenter to copy the data from production server to DR, Only very minimal of downtime is our aim.

1. Storage relication

2. Oracle dataguard

Os : HP-ux

DB : oracle 10g

SAP version : Ecc6

2. Is Vmware Support on Hp-unix Cluster installation ?

3. What is meant by SAPS? how can i calculate ?

Hi Senthil,

VMware hypervisor only virtualizes on x86 processor architecture. Since HP-UX is not based on that architecture, this OS can not run in VMware.

1. we are plan to transfer the data from old to new server.Wheather we

can transfer through backup restoration or array based data transfer ?

2.we need to replicate data from Production to Diaster Recovery Server

in a very short downtime .What method we go

for this data transfer?

a. Array based Storage replication

b. Oracle dataguard

3. What is SAPs ?

4. How can i calculate databse hit ?

5. Which Raid group is comfort to install SAP ? If any SAP Note for RAID Group.

See that migrations can only be performed by a certified SAP migration consultant.

Oracle Data Guard can be used for replication as it will also take care of applying logs at DR .
