VAT number

Dear All,

I have some queries regarding VAT registration Number,

1) Where we maintain VAT no ie on company code or plant level?

2) Is VAT and LST number is same?....(LST we maintain in J1ID)

3) In FI(Financial Accounting (New)>Global Parameters for Company Code>Enter Global Parameters) we maintain VAT registration number.Is this applicable for all plants under that Company?

Please suggest.....

Ans: Plant level

hi,

let me clear u...

there are2 types of sales tax

CST - Centra Sales tax

LST - Local Sales tax.. LST is state wise tax and VAT - Value added Tax is one of the type of LST.

J1ID is maintained at Plant level.

CST/VAT is maintained at plant level
