Exclude a movement type from automatic account determination

Dear Experts,

Does anybody know how I can exclude a special MvT (Let say 411) from being affected by Automatic Account Determination?

The scenario is that I wanted to assign a different G/L account for this MvT (411), but in OBYC it has just one Transaction/Event key (BSX) entry and when I change the G/L from that entry, it affects any other MvTs related to BSX and this is undesirable for me.

So I decided to exclude the MvT from Automatic Account Determination. I am waiting to hear your advice ASAP.

Dear Ankur,

I configured your recommendation in a testing system as I removed any Account Modification related to 411 in OMWN.

As I mentioned earlier, there is NO BSX entry in OMWN for 411, however the system just take the BSX Trans/Event key into account in FI documents created by 411.

So the configuration made is not applicable and the system affects G/L accounts in BSX entry in OBYC.

Hi There,

Please do not make changes in standard Movement types, even SAP suggest for creating a new movement type pls take the reference of Existing movement type!

Still you wanted to make changes you delete the account grouping for your specific movement type in OMJJ, but you have to make the same changes in reversal movement type also or you may have discrepancies in your system!

Thanks,
