Hey Guys,
Under POsitive Time management, if we are doing automatic recording using separate time recording system, what kind of tools are we using to do so??
Is it CATS or ESS ?? or both together??? please explain..i am so lost...
If possible, please explain the process of positive time management..from recording time data(using what) to uploading to SAP...
Hi Pooja,
There are several ways in which time can be recorded in TM.
1. Using time recoding terminals in which case you use time events IT 2011 and IT 0050 etc. The time recoding terminal data is pushed to SAP and SAP data can also be queried and used to display information on Time recording terminals
2. Usings CATS - Cross Application Time sheet
Your company is using third party application to record time data and this data is then integrated with SAP HR
3. Using ESS
Here the employees themselves enter the time data using ESS which is part of SAP HR configuration. A web page where in you can enter details about your time.
No matter what the time recording terminology used. Time data is evaluated in the same manner.
Hope this helps.

Hi pooja,
If you want to record the time data automatic you can't do CATS and ESS
In ESS and CATS where emp has to enter the time data and uplode the data to prod
but in your case you want to record the time data automatic
1.you have to use time machine (clock in clock out) where u have to downlode the time data store it in local server and uplode the time data to SAP server.
2. or one interface is there where that interface automatically downlode the data from time machine and uplode the data to SAP server then u can use automatic time evalution automatic.
this activites u can do daily or weekly or monthly as per you client requirement

Prasad
