View SAP HANA Calculation view in SAP BW on HANA DB

Hi All

we have the following requirement

we have on ECC HANA a calculation view , we want to consume this calculation view in BW by composite provider or other BW/HANA objects

what is the best way/practice

i understand that there is option of Creation virtual table on the ECC Calculation view

any other options?

Andrey, can you be more specific on ODP_HANA? Which type? I tried all of the available source system types and none can see the calculation view.

Hi Adir,

No need to use virtual tables...

Just replicate your calculation view in BW under "ODP_HANA" context (first create an ODP source system/connection to ECC HANA under "ODP_HANA" context in source systems).

Then calculation view will be available as ODP data source in BW.

Finally, do whatever you want - open ODS view or composite provider for virtual consumption, load from DS for persistent...
