FlashVars not supported for swf on a PowerPoint slide

Xcelsius 2008 SP3 FixPack 1 introduced a new FlashVar for all dashboards that will supress the error window from popping up.

The FlashVar syntax is "SHOW_ERROR_WINDOW=False"

This is mostly needed for an unattended, kiosk type display of a dashboard. Many times this is done with a PowerPoint slide and the Shockwave Flash Object to display the Xcelsius dashboard.

BUT, the Shockwave Flash Object in PowerPoint does NOT accept FlashVars.

So this "fix" will not really work to supress the error window for unattended display in PowerPoint - which is almost entirely how we use Xcelsius dashboards.

Extremely frustrated.

Anyone have a real solution for this problem?

I have logged a ticket with SAP support...can anyone confirm this fix was even included in Fix Pack 3.1?

This is included in the list of official fixes, but I also can't get it to work, even in html (and swf).

Has anyone had success with this?

They actually figured out it is case-sensitive. So you must use "SHOW_ERROR_WINDOW=false" with a lowercase f...even though their code example was showing an uppercase F.
