Dear Experts
In order to change the USEFUL LIFE of asset I have found the following options:
1. We can change it directly at Depreciation Area Tab of Asset Master.
2. We also can change it by clicking and going into respective 'Depreciation Area' AND clicking on 'More Intervals' AND creating new line by giving 'From Date' and new 'Useful Life' of Asset.
Please also note that we are in 'new depreciation engine' i.e. already activated EA-FIN.
I request you to explain the difference in the implication/functionality when I choose above Option 1 and when choose Option 2.
Waiting for your valuable reply.
Thanks and Regards

Hi,
there is only one option to change the useful life. This is your first option (in the depreciation area).
Your secon option (more intervalls) is a possibility to define a depreciation key for a certain period.
In the past whenever you have changed depreciation-parameters it effected all open periods.
