On screen 27 of the following SAP Tutor:
https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700005479212006E.sim
we see a "SAP&MY" next to the button "NEW".
1) I cannot find this "SAP&MY" in my SM7.0SP16. Why?
2) If use other existing entries (e.g. "Not Complete") in that same box , then click "NEW", what will be the difference?
Please help. Thanks a lot!
Hi,
The SAP&MY is just a filter placeholder the first time you enter Change Management> Change Request Management
If you look at that screen it is a filter, and you can select from the drop down filter list, such as Not Completed - Requestor, Not Completed - Current Processor, Not Completed, ETC.
Once you select a value, the initial value of SAP&MY is not selectable again ( its meaningless as a filter criteria), only the values from the drop down filter list will be selectable - if you want to use a filter. Otherwise de-select the filter checkbox.
Once you select an entry from the drop down filter list the change requests with that status will be displayed and selectable for editing.
Or you can hit the New Button (Create Button in newer SPs) to create a new Change Request.
1) Is setting a filter "SAP&MY" is just a placeholder and will be replaced with a filter value from the drop down filter list
2) You don't specify a name in the drop down list, you select an existing Change request or create a new one
Change requests are given numbers, not names. You can either select an existing one, or create a new one, but you can't create one with the same ID. There is no option.
This should explain why you can not specify SAP&MY as a filter and why it can't be selected. It also explains why you can't create a Change Request witht he same name.

Paul
