Hi,
how can i change the automaticly given requestnumber for a transport?
actually we have BIDKxxxxxx
I want to change to BIDLxxxxxx. Where can i change this number, which is normaly set automaticly.
The reason i want to change. We have a new development system because of migration. And have some old transports build on our old development system. The new develpoment system is an 2 weeks old export. So if i create a new transport, i got a number which was is already assigned on the old development system.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Kind Regards
Martin Schmitt
I don't think you should change it to BIDLxxxxxx. Keep the 'K'!
But have a look at at SAP note 12799.

Hi Joe Bo,
that was the right note. I can change the last assigned number. Yes your are right i can't change BIDK to BIDL...
We change from BIDK904xxx to BIDK910000 so we have a new space from roundabout 6000 Numbers.
Thank you for your quick answer, it solved my problem.
Kind regards
Martin Schmitt
Hi Martin,
To have a new transport request number you have to create a new request. I don't think there's any way you can manually change the number.
Moreover you can't change BIDK to BIDL because the format of the request number which the system generates is <SID>K900xxx.
