Hi,
Earlier, a few background jobs have been scheduled to run as userA, then userA left and userA id was removed. All those jobs finished with status 'Canceled'. All those jobs have been copied and the copied jobs run as userB, those copied jobs finished ok. However, the earlier userA background jobs still run and finished with status 'Canceled'.
my job selection is untill 31.3.9999 and user *, with all status. I couldn't find any userA background jobs with status 'released'. May I know how to remove the userA background from future execution?
Some of the background jobs are:
SM:SOLMAN MONITORING
SM:SEND_SOLUTIONS_TO_SAP
SM:SESSION_REFRESH
SM:CSA UPDATE TASKSTATUS
SM:TMWFLOW_CMSSYSCLO
Thank you.
Hello
I assume that you are using the EHP1 release of Solution Manager. In this case there is a IMG activity for Background jobs in Solution Manager available under the Basic settings. Using this activity you can change the scheduling of the jobs from User A to user B
Hope that this answers your query.
Regards
Amit

Dear ZL,
When looking at transaction SM37 by default "Sched." will not be selected and the rest will be selected. You would need to have "Sched." selected also under the Job Status and when searching for the job in question, you can locate it this way if it has indeed been scheduled to run in the future.
Once you have located the jobs in question, you can go ahead and cancel these recurring jobs so that they do not come up again in the future.
Thanks,
Mark

You may want to check the box Scheduled, when looking for jobs that are scheduled in the future.
By default this box is not checked in SM37.
A released job is a job that has met the scheduling criteria, and is waiting for system resources to become an active job and then a finished or cancelled job.
You don't want to be looking for released jobs. You want to check off Scheduled and look for scheduled jobs. Then you can cancel them, so they do not ree-schedle themselves, as they were scheduled as Periodic jobs, and will continue to reschedule itself.
I think this will address your query.

Paul
