How can I sort by a formula

I want to sort my grouped results by one of the formula fields. Ex. I have a list of clients- the formula field is a percentage of amounts billed versus amounts collected for the group. I would like to sort in ascending order the calculated percent for each group summary to see with ones had the worst collection rate first. When I choose group sort order, the formula I created is not an option, only the group summary fields.
