Alternative BOM

Hi experts,

I am producing same HALB from 2 different raw materials, when a process order is created for that HALB system should ask the production version to select but its not asking, I have maintained the production version with same valid from date and with same master recipe and given 2 as alternative BOM for that HALB, but still when I am creating process order system is picking the first BOM and not asking anything, where I am missing in this, please help me.

Hi,

In Material master mrp 4 view select the field BOM Explosion AS Explosion only by Production Version.

Revert back in case of any problem

Hi,

You have to define lot size in each alternative BOM of HALB material in HEADER overview sothat when you create process order for said qyt ,system will pick that BOM which said qty is falling in lot size of BOM.

Hi,

Go to Tcode OPL8, there maintain procduction version selection as manual selection. Then create production order, go to Master data tab, there you can select Production version. System will allow you to select the production version.

Dear Karad,

1) Go to COR4, for ur plant & order type combination double click

2) Now for option Production Version Make it as 1

3) only for manual creation of Process order this setting is valid

4) if ur converting plan order to Process order then system will default pick the First version if

Lot size defined in Version same

5) then you need to manually change the PV in Plan order change mode

6) if before Running MRP if you want system to pick 2nd Version then Lock the first PV

PLs check ur order type dependent parameter for an order type in T code OPL8

Is selection of production version automatic or manual
