Inspection Type deactivate

Dear All,

There was a non QM activated material and stock GRN to Inspection Stock. After that i activated 01 inspection type for that material by using QA08 transaction. Then in that QA08 transaction it showed material was processed and new inspection lot created. For a testing purposes i went to the QA08 transaction and tried to deactivate the 01 inspection type then it says material cannot be processed.

1. How do i deactivate inspection type 01 from a material?

2. What if the plant that i'm working decided to stop using QM, but since they have already activated Inspection Type, inspection lots will get created at the time of GRN. In a situation like that how to avoid it?
