Hi

In the standard template reports when working with the balance sheet.

if you have a value in 2010.JAN, but nothing in 2010.FEB, 2010.MAR. Then the 2010.Q1 is zero.

But now the problem with this is that if you are in 2010.JAN and not in FEB, MAR yet(no postings in FEB, MAR) then 2010.Q1 is zero but should show the value in 2010.JAN.

So how can one correct this??

I realize it does this cause it is assuming that jan it has a balance and then in Feb the balance becomes zero. But this works fine for months that have passed.

Thanks in advance

Hi Lous,

You have to make the diference between an YTD application and a Periodic Application.

From youre example it seems you have an YTD application.

So that's means in Periodic value you have actually:

JAN, FEB, MAR, Q1

100, -100, 0, 0

This are peridic value. But if I'm looking to YTD value

actually I will see:

JAN,FEB, MAR, Q1

100, 0 , 0 , 0

Because YTD Means the sum of value until that Month.

I hope this will help you to understand where is the issue in your application.

Actually is not any issue :).

The calculation was perform correct but it is an YTD application.
