The fiscal year specified differs by more than a year from the fiscal year

Hi,

I have a company that did not have assets from 2007.

Right now we have to post one new asset and i receive the following message

Asset depreciation posting run AFAB, with planned depreciation. when I run AFAB it gives an error message saying "No posting possible in Fiscal year 2009"

Diagnosis -- No Positng is possible in fiscal year 2009 specified. The fiscal year specified differs by more than a year from the fiscal year in which the last postings were perfromed.

I checked table TABA and period 12 of 2007 was the last posting run but we do not need to post anything since that

What can i do?

Hi,

Please check the last posting run, and execute the AFAB from last posting run to till date, then the system will post the depreciation in current year, In SAP Asset accounting we need to run the all periods even though for not posting also.

let me know if any clarifications.

Thank you for your quick answer but when i tried to run the asset posting i receive a message that the year is close.

How can i run it in this circunstances?
