How to add data to new field in data dictionary

Hi All,

I have added a new field to a ztable as a key field. Now i want to add data to this field. I went to sm30 and saw all the existing records.now i want to add the data to the existing record to the new field.but the new field is in the grey mode which cant be edited.Please help how to add data to it....

In se14 -->activate and ajust the database.

Regenerate the TMG

You cannot change the primary key field values.

You cannot change to an existing record..but

copy that record into new record and give value to new filed you created and then delete the old record which you copied;-)

Hi,

This is your custom table . So you can you the following path..

SE11->display table ->go to TMG. -> Double click on the screen Number - > Element List -> Then uncheck the output only check box and check the input check box for the required field. Then you can edit the field.
