SAP user replication in BO

Hi,

We followed the blog of Ingo Hilgefort ([/people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2008/09/19/businessobjects-and-sap--configure-sap-authentication|/people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2008/09/19/businessobjects-and-sap--configure-sap-authentication]) to set up SSO to BO using SAP user credentials.

We have two questions regarding this feature:

- How does the user replication works? Say for instance, I accidentally delete a user which is imported using a role, how can this user be imported again (without removing and re-adding the role?). Are new users which are added to the role added automatically in BO?

- It is possible to create a universe on top of a BEx query using SSO. When this option is used, does the BEx query only returns the data on which the user has authorizations or how does this work?

Any information concerning these two issues would help me a lot.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

>> In such a case the user would be re-imported at the next logon. You can delete the users in the BusinessObjects Enterprise system. the Roles would have to be remove from the SAP Authentication.

>> Yes and correct at that case you using also the data level security - assuming you also use authorization variables in the BW query.
