Work center - Connectivity Monitoring

Former Member

Hi All,

I've installed EHP1 and now trying to configure the work centers.

Connectivity Monitoring - I would like to get an alert when

an rfc connection is down but I didn't find a place where I set it.

Also, there is no explanation in the help article about alerting in the "connectivity monitoring".

Any idea ?

Please advice,

Dimitry Haritonov

hello,

perhaps I don't understand teh question, but does this resolve your problem?

SOLMAN_WORKCENTER --> System Monitoring --> Connectivity Monitoring --> GO to setup to add your systems/RFC's

My Home --> System Monitoring --> Connectivity Monitoring (Broken Connections)

Use Asynchronous Refreh Settings to regulary update the screen.

kind regards,

Will

Hello Dmitry,

You can set this up using transaction RZ20. This option can be found under: CCMS Monitor Templates --> Communication --> Transactional RFC and Queued RFC.

Please check the following two notes which should assist you in this:

429265 - CCMS monitor architecture: Central auto-reaction

176492 - Automatic email when an alert occurs (RZ20)

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the info, but you are talking about a CCMS monitoring. My purpose is to use the

new ability like monitoring RFC between monitored systems. This is exists in the Workcenter

and I still can't find how to set an "auto reaction" to that.

any idea ?

It's just a screen, however, I reckon it's a usefull one.

Let's you monitor all rfc connection on managed systems as well.

Maybe SAP will enhance the features of this functionality in the near future.

Untill then, I haven't tested this yet, you might be able to get an automatic monitoring on this when you record it in a script for EEM. But you should try.

Takes some time (not a lot) to configure, but could be usefull.

You have to be on SPS20 +
