Failover SAProuter

Hi ,

Our customer support is fully dependent on SAProuter and it has to be running all the time.

I am wondering if I can install additional saprouter as failover or standby so that primary fails secondary takes over. Please shed some light on this.

Thanks

Al

Hi Al Mamun,

To the best of my knowledge you can install additional router very well. But as a public IP address is needed for SAProuter which needs to registered with SAP so you might need to pay extra to SAP.

SAP needs to be paid per public IP address that it registers. Also I am not sure whether this switch will be automatic, as far as I know the switch should be performed manually.
