Create Material Document without serial number information(Serial Number Management is active)

Greeting,

When we doing Goods Receipt in "MIGO" with some movement types(for example:561), we always need to input serial number if the serial number management has been set for material, is there any way we can save the material document without serial number information first?

My client would like to do inventory transaction with bar-code device(without wifi) and base on a hard copy of material document, however, the standard SAP process always ask to input serial number when creating material document, is there any solutions to satisfy this request? please advice me.

Hi,

Try if the Hold function works without saving/posting the material document and without entering the serial number. If not, I believe it's not possible to have your requirement satisfied without a any kind of custom development.

Thank you, just tested the "Hold" function and found no document number generated,I think you are right, my requirement could not be satisfied with any development.
