hi,

the field name for division and weight are MARC-SPART andMARC-BRGEW

Go to OMSR

Change the field group of both these fields to 27.

NOW GO to OMS9, Give the field group as 27 and against the material type hibe you remove the mandaotry part and make it as optional

Hi,

1. Find the field reference of your material type HIBE by using transaction OMS2 of fallow the below path. Select material type HIBE and click on details where you can see Field reference.

Go to SPRO-> IMG-> Logistics-general-> material master-> Basic settings-> material type-> Define attributes of material types

2. Find the Screen Fields (MARA-SPART, MARA-BRGEW) for your fields Division and Gross weight with F1 help in the material master (MM03)

3. Find the field selection group of your Fields (MARA-SPART, MARA-BRGEW) using T.code OMSR or fallow the below path. You can see the field selection group (90 for Division: MARA-SPART and 16 for weight: MARA-BRGEW) in the right hand side of your field.

SPRO-> IMG-> Logistics-general-> material master-> field selection-> Assign fields to field selection groups

4. Once you find the field selection group also find the number of fields which are assigned to your field selection group by sorting field group in bottom left hand side, where you can see all the fields which are assigned to your field selection group ( 90 or 16 )

(One field selection group will have N number of fields)

5. If your field selection group has more than one field then you cannot change the status (mandatory/optional) of your field Division/weight.

6. HOW TO CHANGE STATUS: Go to T.code OMS9 (or use the below patch) position your field reference which in the point number 1, also select your field selection group which is find in point number 3, and double click on field reference or field where you can make mandatory/optional/hide etc.

SPRO-> IMG-> Logistics-general-> material master-> field selection-> Maintain field selection for data screens

7. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: If your field selection group has more than one field, you cannot change the status of your field Division/weight; if your change the status of field selection group it will be applicable for all the fields in that field selection group (it is possible when it has only one field in field selection group).

In this case you need to assign your field to a new or empty field selection group and fallow the above steps to change the status of your fields.

Hi

Check transaction OMSR and OMS9. In OMS2 you will see field reference. Create new field reference in OMS9 and assign it to your material type in OMS2. Then in OMSR you can group fields in field selection group and make it mandatory in OMS9 for your field reference
