Characteristics Not deleted

Dear Gurus,

Please guide me how i can delete charcateristics from class once we delete characterics inside the class it gives the mess "characteristcs already define or still used somewhere or already used in assignment tell me how it can be possible."

Doc( TGT) --> Class( DMS_TGT) ---> characteristics( App)

So how i wan to delete this App.
