advantages & disadvantages of notification

Hi Gurus,

My client wants to generate notification for every (major & minor) defect. Can any body give me the advantages & disadvantages of notification?

Dear Babu,

In SAP any types of nonconformity (defects) can be effectively handled using Notification process. There are no disadvantages of using this only problem is in beginning users feel that the process is lengthy and difficult. But once they are us to then this the best tool for using analysis.

Customer complaints and vendor complaints are best handled using Notification, you can get all types of analysis and graphs from std system with in fraction of second. Only problem is it should be thorally understood and practiced.

Pl make the good user manual to explain the users the actual process and advantages they will surely accept this.

I dont see any dis advantage in having notification apart from additional responsible for the user to maintain the data.

Advantages: Will help you in better visiblity of the defects which will help you in analysis and reporting on a longer run..
