Change current number

Dear Experts,

Have you ever changed the current number in FBN1,change the current number into a greater number.

Does it have any potential impacts? Do i need to lock all users to post document while changing the current number?

Hi Sophie,

Locking the users is not required. The impact is there will be certain document numbers missing inbetween. This might become a potential issue in the accounts/systems audit trial.

Yes, it will have a gap inbetween, but if users approve this approach, it will be fine ,isnt it.

There should be no issue but only for AUDIT, you have to note down or maintain a copy of the missing document numbers and have them verified by the users.
