Do you know what exactly the Activate Technical Content in SAP NetWeaver BI for?

SPRO ->SAP NetWeaver ->Business Intelligence ->Settings for BI Content ->Business Intelligence ->BI Admin Cockpit ->Activate Technical Content in SAP NetWeaver BI

What happen if I activate it?

Basically I would like enable the system so that the Query / InfoProvider statistic data can be collected, and therefore, I can see this statistic data via ST03N.

Does it mean I MUST activate the Activate Technical Content in SAP NetWeaver BI, then I will be able to see the statistic data in ST03N?

Hello,

yes, you have to activate the technical content in order to see query performance data in ST03.

I have gone thru the note, but not 100% understand.

Anyway, here is my questions and hope you can clarify.

1) To see the query / infoprovder statistics data in ST03N, I thought we should just select the query / inforprovider from RSSDSTAT.

Once this is selected, system will automatically record the statistic data and we can display it via the ST03N?

2) Why must we need to activate the technical content in SRPO?

3) Or is this a pre-requisite (activate the technical content in SPRO) step so that we can select the query / infoprovider from RSSDSTAT otherwise we will not see anything via ST03N?

I have activated it in SPRO.

What I noticed now is I have new Process Chain being created and scheduled to run in the system - can see in RSPC.

I have a list of InfoCube, Datasource etc being created in RSA1, which run by the the Process Chain.

And this activation DOES NOT mean we have setup the statistic collection for each of our query/InfoProvider that we built !!!

And all these cubes, ods etc are generated into RSA1.

I didnu2019t even install them from RSA1 ->Business Content.

Why all these are generated automatically?

Does it mean if we activate in the SPRO, there is no need for us to install the Business Content one by one from RSA1 ->Business Content?
