How to make Gross price field as mandatory in CJ20N for service activity in network?

But Thambi, the price field in service activity screen will be in non-editable....Why do you want to make that as mandatory field?

You need to use exit CNEX0009 Material components in network.

Exit is not required - that is for component - the question is for activity detail which can be configured

Transaction OPUC should suffice

Dear we dont have field control for that screen in PS..may be you can check in MM configuration or consult your MM consultant. You will get the same screen even if you create Service PR...

after changing config in OPUC i.e. changing price to mandatory for control key influence did you create a new network activity and check or did you check the old one?

Thambi, OPUC is available for network and network activity field selection....but what you are looking is not available in PS....as I said before it may be available in MM....

I have seen a field control for Service PR setting....try to set it from there and check...I am away from SAP system..the path could be MM>External service management>Scree or Field control......check that... and let us know whether it worked or not.

Yeah....here i tried for CN21 ie create network.....inside i set gross field as mandatory.

Still system is allowing to save service activity without price.

Where i'm doing wrong?

Thambi, I cannot access system now and so couldnt cross check from my side....why dont you try creating new project and service activity and then check it....

Hi,

As told by Ahmed goto MM.

Follow the below path;

MM->External Services management -> Define Screen Layout.

Double click on Field Selection ML81--> Then Double click on Price and Value fields. Here you make Gross price as required entry.

Thanks for your replies.

I tried that MM path.....for CN21 then for ML81

After doing this setting i created new WBS/ Network/ Activity(service)

But still it's not mandatory....

Kindly help me to solve this problem

Thambi, I tried my suggestion using field control for CN21 in MM path, even I dont get the price field as mandatory field, but instead of that I get an information message saying customizing is incorrectly maintained...I think it would be good if you consult with the MM person regarding how to maintain that settings correctly.

you can do screen modification

SE51 program SAPLMLSP screen 400

double click on field ESLL-TBTWR and then go to program tab and change input to required

I just tried screen variant through SHD0 transaction , I was successful in achieving this.

I have done it for CN21, CN22 and CJ20N as well. Its working fine. You have to create screen variant for 2 transactions Create network and Change network for CJ20N.
