Automatic transport looping with TMS_0000000001TMS_TP_IMPORT

Good morning,

On our TST (QAS) server we import automatically each 15 minutes.

This is done with a scheduled job : TMS_0000000001TMS_TP_IMPORT.

We have noticed that the imports are looping during a whole day

instead of been apply and deleted.

At the end of the day it stops looping.

Would you know how I could diagnose the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello benoitbs, Can you check if your TMS_0000000001TMS_TP_IMPORT job getting finish clearly.

If anything is there please paste the job log.

Also Have a check if usr/sap/trans has been mounted properly. I am assuming your /usr/sap/trans mounted from Dev box.

(considering non windows OS)

Hope it Helps.

With sm37, I checked that the jobs were finishing correctly.

usr/sap/trans is a local file system for the TST machine.

So the problem is not a file access problem.

As you can see in the logs it finished successfully.

But then the job reapplies it.

Thanks in advance for your help.

What steps is the TMS_0000000001TMS_TP_IMPORT jobs doing?.... In order to reimport the transport must be readded to the buffer...

Can you post the steps detail?

Also whats the current status of the transport in STMS?

Regards

Juan

I had just looked in sm37 that it succeeded.

How could I get the step details?

I have removed it from the import queue.

But it was with a green square: as the log said successfully implemented.

I can confirm that the transport worked because snote indicated that the note had been implemented.

Then the bug was corrected on my TST system.

Therefore the notes (that was transported) had been sucessfully implemented.

As I said, this transport was a transport of a sap note.

I had the same problem with the reset of the note.

I had to import three times the note before SAP provided me a correction for my server version.

That is why I transported several time the not implementation and reset.

Thanks in advance for your help.

How could I get the step details?

SM37 -> Choose job -> Step

I have removed it from the import queue.

We need to know what the job is doing to determined if it adding the transport to the queue again... otherwise no loop should happen

Is it enough to diagnose or do you need more information?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Theres a couple of notes about it but nothing relevant... does it happen with a particular request or with all of them?

I do not think that it occurs for all request,

The first time I got the problem was with the transport of a note reset.

The second time it was with the note implementation transport.

Thanks in advane for your help.

You could open an OSS Message as looks like a bug, but if the note was implemented and you have remove it from the buffer then It should not happen again

Would you know why I have all these "Feedback after export or import" that keeps been logged the next 6 hours after a successful import?

Thanks in advance for your help.
