Query regarding XD99 transaction - unable to change customer group

Hi Gurus,

This is regarding the XD99 transaction, which is the mass update of the customer master.

I have selected the table name KNVV and i have entered the customer details along with the sales area.

After the execution i have selected the customer group field which needs to be changed.

I gave the new value and after pressing the save button, i get the message below:

00000custno : No batch input data for screen SAPMF02D 0900 ( Message no. 00344)

Here custno is the customer number.

Please let me know how to overcome this error and perform the mass update.

Not sure, whether you have clicked "Carry out a mass change" (6th tab on top) and then saved.

Hi Gurus,

in XD99, after selecting table and giving the sales area and customer parameters, and after selecting the customer group ,

There is a screen - Mass maintenance : Customers , with customer master sales data tab.

I have entered the new value , clicked on the column.

Then i have pressed " Carry out a mass change"

Then the new value is getting populated in the place of the old value in the XD99 screen.

Then when i have pressed save - I guess this goes as an update to the customer master. It is at this stage , that after i had pressed the save button, the error is coming.

There is a screen getting opened - Messages from Update task.

In that screen this error is coming.

Hi Kirshna,

Try doing this way. In "XD99" selection screen input the values (Customer(s), sales org, dist channel,division) in the screen "DATA Records to be changed"., then execute the same. Then in the top menu bar-- viewchoose fields. Choose the filed you want to change , and m ove it to selection criteria. Now you will be presented with the screen with the filed to be changed. Now enter the new value and select the field both at the top and down. Now in the menu bar edit-execute changes. Now save it. System tires to save the values. If it throws any error message , you double click on it and it should take you to the particular screen. Kindly please let me know if you need any more information on this.

the points mention by mahesh ok, but you mention that 00000custno : No batch input data for screen SAPMF02D 0900 ( Message no. 00344). but in this programme and screen not it is not searching for customer group, may you are trying some different thing you are getting this problem.

otherwise xd99, knvv-kdgrp changes in mass transaction working fine, please check the technical team to analyze the problem your are facing in data for screen SAPMF02D 0900 .

Thank you for your steps, but at step 8 , i am getting a green traffic signal with message : 00000custno : No batch input data for screen SAPMF02D 0900

Please let em know of any alternate way.

Hi,

Check if u are entering the data in the creation of new data in any case. Since program error is for creating a new customer and if u want to create one u need to maintain the data for the same.

Krishna,

The reason you are getting this error message is because you are trying to process a screen where SAP is expecting a value for a (particular) mandatory field, and you are not passing any value for that mandatory field.

I suggest you open the particular customer no. for which you are getting this error using txn XD02, go to the screen where you are trying to make the change, and try to save. System will then throw a similar error message but this time with the exact field that is expecting a value and doesn't have any.

Once you know that, you can either change that customer's data manually, or modify the XD99 process by passing a value to this mandatory field as well.

I am able to change in XD02 without issues and i filled the selection fields in the same way as you suggested.

Still i am getting same error.

Hi,

When u go to XD99,

1. Select the table ie KNVV in the tables tab, select the fields tab and select the fields u would like to change for eg Incoterms

2. Execute the report

3. U will come to the screen where u can restrict the entries.

Enter the criterion say

Cust: Test 1

Sales Org 8000

Dist 08

Div 08

4. Again press execute

5. Enter the new values you would like to have

6. Now select columns of the new values and press carry out mass maintainence button in the new values area

7. Press Save

8. u will then receive a success message
