BOBJ installation Issue

Hi All

We are in the process of installing BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1.

chose option 'Install MySQL database Server'

Installation stopped with error

CMS Error

The Central Management Server has failed to start. Start 'Retry' to attempt to start it again or 'Cancel' to skip any action dependent on the Central Management Server.STW00213

I am installing BOBJ on my BI server which is running on win2003 oracle 10.2.0.4

thanks for the reply.

Found the message "CMS server Started" in Event Viewer. So clicked cancel and proceeded the installation.

Installation is successful.

Hi,

i would not recommend installing EDGE on the same physical Machine as your BI due to performance related topics.

Try to install EDGE with a different DB type. f.e. create a own schema on your Oracle DB for EDGE.
