Hi,

Looks like you expect to calculate OH based on Material. Well, there is no option to select 'Material' field as a dependency, however, you can include 'Overhead key' as one of the depenency (eg: 'D010') and assign Overhead key to Overhead group. Overhead group in turn can be assigned in Material master Costing view. In other words, you need to maintain as many Overhead keys & Overhead groups as there are number of Materials (one-one relation).

@Pradeep and other Gurus, my client has 300+ materials and I shudder at the thought of maintaining 300+ Overhead Groups and Overhead Keys! I was wondering whether I can use enhancement (EXIT_SAPLKASC_002) to do this calculation.

Hello Manish,

Material number is not updated in Transfer structure, so using exit 'EXIT_SAPLKASC_002' may not be possible for this scenario. Unless, you can find out a way to retrieve Material number with available fields/values. One of the available fields is Overhead key, which means you have to maintain OH key/OH grp.

Please check SAP note # 853237. You can also try posting this issue to SAP.

Hi,

guess what you are asking for is individual overhead calculation for finished products although the "raw materials" are consumed within the same cost element group during production?

Use different production order types for producing these different finished products and create a percentage overhead rate in costing sheet order type dependent (= dependency D050 like O/H rate C050 delivered from SAP standard).
